The crisp days of fall are at it again. Shifting our thinking into rich jewel tones. Why is it that the shift in weather, also brings with it a shift in color? Is it the colors of nature falling away, making way for bold, beautiful tones that make a statement? Is it the strength in these luxurious colors that warms your soul just by looking at them? We think yes.

Hello lovelies! Another week, coming to a close already. The chilly rain that hung around all week is looking to stay with us through the weekend here in Dallas, which means plenty of time indoors. We look forward to these rare weekends of no activities or outings planned, and as mothers to youngish children, they are few and far between. On our agenda? Puppy cuddles (see Shay’s brand new puppy here) kid cuddles, self-portrait time and catch ups on new books.

I blame the 80s. The decade that we both transitioned from kid to teen, awkwardly as ever, and a decade that bestowed on us a life-long love of neons. Recently rediscovered thanks to this watercolor set, we’ve been painting + creating little pops of wow on everything from buttons, branding, daily journals and larger works - we’re kind of stuck in a fluorescent loop - and we’re not sad about it.
