Scouts + Shouts

Happy Friday! Whew! What a week it has been. Two photoshoots, lots of writing, running errands and just general chaos in getting ready for the end of school. Summer begins for us at 3 p.m. today. To say we’re ready is an understatement. My daughter is tired, ready play and sleep and chase the sun as all kids do in the summer. I’m ready to have a bit more time with my girl, while still figuring out how to carve out time for me and all the things that still go on even though school has paused. Looking forward to kicking off summer with some pool time, a visit to the lake and some art-making over the weekend. And you?

A goal of mine this summer is to really, truly be present. To play when it’s time to play and to work when it’s time to work. Looking forward to disconnecting from my phone while we travel next week, and hopefully to continue that post-vacation.

Maybe with all that new found time usually wasted on social media, I’ll take advantage of fringe moments.

Currently coveting one of these for every single room.

As a freelancer + entrepreneur, I too struggle a bit with my schedule from day to day. I like Austin Kleon’s approach to time and will be borrowing that this summer.

And. Color crushing on summer and a studio chat with Kaspar Heinrici.

Happy Weekend!
